HYC Wild Side
Images of the wild side around the club from January.
The winter months can be a bit more challenging for capturing the wild side at the club but January still did not disappoint.

Another great bunch of photos of the amazing wildlife around Highland Yacht Club submitted by Marion Nash. Our little piece of paradise offers so much natural beauty to be enjoyed and for the shutterbugs out there it’s a playground.

Some Trumpeter cygnets making sure they do not stray too far away from mom and dad. Find some other photos of wildlife from around the club this summer.
Here are a few photos from your shutterbug. I hope you will enjoy!
Our little boating club is lucky to be surrounded by nature and all the animals that live within in it. This makes for excellent photo opportunities.
I’ve managed to capture (with my camera!) a couple of our local beavers who have taken to eating the low hanging willow branches at the point when it’s quiet and not busy. Our red squirrel who hangs around the trees near the gate The fox on the beach (who seems to know me now). The cardinals male and female. The female is very elusive. I also caught a goldfinch and one each of our local baby geese, a mallard, and baby trumpeter (pink beak) & mute swans when they were little and so cute.
I have a few more pictures I will post later on Facebook. I have not done as many trail walks because of the heat warning days, so most photos were taken around the clubs. Hope to get more trail photos in the fall. Cheers! ~ Marion
